How to Glitter Your Walls?

Most of the kids and teens love to make their room and home something fascinating,  they love to make it look like a wonderland. There are several methods of glittering your wall. There are different looks and methods for each one. Here we will provide the best and easy method of glittering your wall.

Full Coverage (Glue Method):

This method seems to be a favorite of all. As it is very easy and best method of glittering your wall. All you need to do glittering is PVA glue or Mod Podge Gloss, Basically, you need to take PVA glue or Mod Podge Gloss and pour it into a container. Then you need to mix your glitter into the glue until it comes out to be thick and fairly chunky. Then, by using a sponge brush or paint pad or plastic putty knife, you can smear the glue/glitter mixture onto the wall.

If you miss any areas on the wall, you can go back over it and fill them in after the glue has set or dried. Then finally your wall will be a textured, very glittery wall. The glitter does not flake off because of the glue that has trapped it. The result is full coverage.

Tip: If you take time to paint your wall the color of the glitter you will be so much happier with the results. If you have small gaps between the glitter, then it won’t be easily visible to your eyes.

Coverage: This method needs a lot of glitter. So you should estimate 1-2 Oz of glitter per square foot at least.

Fun Option: They are some people who want their wall to be "over the top", so they mix both fine and larger flakes together for an extra glitz.

Note: This method of coating is really very messy, so you need to tape off any molding you may have to go up against and you also get a drop cloth on the floor!

Flake: If you want to use Craft Glitter of any flake size. Then, the 0.040 is the recommended for a glitzy look, but it is actually a personal choice. If you can afford the Polyester Glitter then you might consider it in the ultra fine 0.008. But this time, you will end up with a classier look, less texture and better UV resistance.

Final Note: If you ever need to get this glitter off your wall then this is going to be a very big issue and it will either require someone to texture over the glitter or you will need to replace your wall. So simply painting over it will really not work in most of the cases. You need to keep in this mind.
