Mcdonald’s India Gives You 15 Reasons To #Unskipbreakfast

Health and fitness experts have been talking for years about the virtues of a hearty breakfast, that hearty morning meal. Yet, there was not enough reason to listen to that great advice when only boring food was placed before you. But not anymore.

With McDonald’s India’s new range of Breakfast dishes - 15 delicious new offerings – one has sufficient reason to sit up and take the advice. After all, who would want to miss out on the mouth-watering offerings?

The morning rush is the biggest reason for most people skipping breakfast. But guess what happens when one doesn’t eat after 7-8 hours of fasting? That, by the way, is why it’s called breakfast, the meal that breaks the fast of the night.

First of all, with no food coming, the body’s cortisol hormone starts breaking out like a rash, inside our unsuspecting body. It makes us go from simply hungry to actually angry. No wonder, they coined a new word for it: hungry plus angry makes hangry.

Therefore, unless food is served to calm down all the action inside, one becomes nervous and worried, and simply not looking forward to the day ahead. Experienced that feeling?

It’s also not at all healthy to sip breakfast. When anyone skips breakfast, our bodies start storing food like a hoarder, anticipating starvation. That food inside is, of course, simply fat. Soon, one becomes obese. That’s not all. Diseases like diabetes and heart disease follow soon afterwards.

McDonald’s West & South India, a subsidiary of Westlife Development, recently launched McBreakfast, served from as early as 8 AM and up to 11 AM.

The menu at McDonald’s begins with the McEgg, a steamed egg with the added flavours of classic mayonnaise, chopped onions and magic masala inside a toasted bun. Then comes Egg & Cheese McMuffin, a steamed egg placed on a slice of cheese inside a muffin, which is sure to be a hit with egg lovers.

Vegetarians fret not, for you awaits the Veg McMuffin, a grilled vegetable patty with spinach and tender corn, served with a slice of cheese. For those who want to have more, there’s the Veg Supreme McMuffin.

For non-vegetarians, there’s the Sausage McMuffin, a grilled chicken patty.

Hash Browns, the perfect potato dish, are always available at breakfast time at McDonald’s.

Hot cakes, a form of pancake, makes for a sweet twist to the breakfast meal. Waffles, which both smell as well as taste good, are another sweet blessing to savour.

Dosa Masala Brioche is the quintessential dosa masala placed inside a French bun, or brioche. One bite and you are transported to an authentic South Indian taste of a dosa.

After Dosa Masala, you get more choices in Brioches: take your pick from Spinach, Corn and Hash Brown Brioches.

Then, comes Scrambled Eggs, reminding you of the much-love anda bhurjee, made at home or had from a streetside vendor. The Scrambled Eggs at McDonald’s India (West & South) come in two flavours - Classic and Masala. While the Classic reminds one of classic English scrambled eggs, the Masala freminds one of authentic street food flavour.
